May I Title My New Book Using An Already Registered Trademark Name?
My book is about helping one’s self. The existing trademark name belongs to a medical devices manufacturer — a company that is in a completely different field whatsoever, with NO possible way of being confused with such a book or its work. It seems that an author should be able to, but these matters are legal, not commonplace.
I have contacted their company trademark attorney on record, as found through the USPTO.gov web antibiotics online site. No word yet, although it is the holiday season. In the interim I was hoping someone might know.
Thoughts?
